About Course
The analyst built the program. The manager ran it. The CISO leads it at board level. CISO Prep is your first year as CISO of Odapeeka State University: a board that wants cyber risk in plain terms, a CFO who wants it in dollars, regulators and an auditor waiting on a corrective action plan, a vendor breach you don’t control, a merger with a college recovering from ransomware, and a program that is slipping.
What you build
Ten deliverables go into your Board Book: a board cyber risk oversight report, a quantified risk memo for the ERM committee, a portfolio charter and roadmap, a three-year investment and risk-financing plan, an obligations register and corrective action plan, a disclosure decision memo and crisis communications pack, a merger due diligence report, a program recovery plan, a leadership and succession plan, and an annual report to the board. The capstone is a three-year cybersecurity strategy with a board presentation.
How it works
No labs to install. Every exercise runs on the Year Three case packet, the Starting Packet and the workbook. Every deliverable gets AI-assisted feedback against its rubric, and the capstone is scored against a published rubric. Finishing the course earns vCISO II.
Exam prep included
Choose one: ISACA CISM or ISC2 CISSP exam prep. The course prepares you; it does not guarantee a pass, a job or an interview.
