Active Directory is Microsoft’s identity and access management system. If you work in enterprise, you’re probably using it. If you’re an attacker, it’s your primary target.

AD is a centralized database that stores information about users, computers, printers, and other resources on a Windows network. When you log into your domain-joined laptop, you’re authenticating to the Active Directory domain controller.
