📺 Livestream Timestamp: 40:00 — Passive Recon & OSINT

Alright – you’ve learned about Google dorking, WHOIS and DNS enumeration, social media recon, and OSINT tools. Now let’s put it all together.

In the real world, reconnaissance isn’t just about running tools and collecting data. It’s about organizing what you find into something useful. Whether you’re doing a pentest, a bug bounty, or building a threat profile for a blue team exercise – you need to document your findings.

What Goes Into a Recon Report?

A good passive recon report covers the key areas we’ve been working through:

Target Overview – Domain name(s), organization name, industry, public-facing websites

Domain and DNS Intelligence – WHOIS registration details, DNS records (A, MX, NS, TXT), subdomains discovered, name servers, hosting provider(s)
