Cover6 Solutions
Cybersecurity Staffing & Recruiting
We source, screen, and submit candidates for your open security roles — and you pay only when someone starts, and stays.
Hiring security people is not the same as hiring engineers.
Post a security role and you get a hundred resumes claiming the same five certifications. Sorting them takes someone who has done the work. Most hiring teams do not have that person to spare, and most recruiting firms do not employ one.
Cover6 has been placing cybersecurity professionals since 2016, under recruiting agreements with defense integrators and consultancies. The candidates come from a community we have run since 2012.
How it works
Tell us the role
Scope, seniority, clearance, location, and what the team actually needs. If the role is vague, we say so before we start looking.
We source and screen
From the Cover6 community and thirteen years of relationships in this field. Every candidate is screened by a practitioner, not matched on keywords.
You interview and decide
We submit people we would vouch for. If we would not put our name on a candidate, you never see them.
Why our shortlist is different
Screened by a practitioner
Thirty years in information security and more than 100 penetration tests personally delivered. The person deciding who reaches you has done the job.
Sourced from a community we built
Cover6 has run the DC-area cybersecurity community since 2012 — 9,900+ members and 133+ events. We are not cold-calling strangers.
We train these roles
Cover6 Academy teaches SOC analysis, pentesting and cert preparation. We know what competence looks like because we teach it.
We say no
A short shortlist of people we can defend beats a long one we cannot. If we do not have the right person, we tell you.
You pay only if the hire sticks.
Most agencies bill the full fee within thirty days of a start date and guarantee the placement for sixty to ninety days. Ours works differently, and it is deliberately weighted toward you.
- No fee unless you hire. Sourcing and screening cost you nothing.
- The fee is spread across five monthly payments, and the first one is not due until sixty days after their first day.
- If the placement leaves before the final payment, the remaining payments never come due. You are not billed for someone who did not stay.
- In practice that is roughly a six-month window in which a departure reduces what you owe — against an industry norm of sixty to ninety days.
What it costs
The placement fee is a percentage of the hire’s first-year compensation, scaled to the seniority of the role. An entry-level analyst does not cost what a senior offensive-security engineer costs, and you should not be quoted as though it does.
We quote the exact rate for your role before any work begins, in writing, with the payment schedule and the guarantee attached.
Tell us about the role.
A short conversation is usually enough to tell whether we can fill it. If we cannot, we will say so.
