Top 10 Ways to Deliver Always Available Microservices

For the first OWASP NoVa meetup of 2019, our own member, Chintan Jain, will be speaking on reaching availability goals with Microservices.
Cyber security professionals typically focus on Confidentiality and Integrity, while largely overlooking Availability. The industry is combating denial of service attacks that result in loss of service availability, costing a tremendous loss of revenue, reputation, and customer trust. In this talk, I will focus on how to create[masked]% available Microservices. We will deep dive into various security & resiliency techniques and architecture in the cloud to create micro services that achieve that high degree of available uptime. This includes: designing Active-Active or Active-Passive Inter Region Architectures, creating redundancy and High Availability at each layer of the architecture for downstream services, paying close attention to selection and provisioning of technology stack including application and database servers, and various other techniques. You will be able to walk away from the session knowing what it takes to design and deliver cloud scale always available, resilient and stable Microservices!!
