Dennis F. Bonilla is the Vice President of the Employer and Academic Partnership Group, responsible for over 3000 public and private sector employer workforce development activities, educational service agreements and academic partnerships with community colleges, other higher education institutions, and third-party educational platform and content providers.
He was formerly executive dean of the College of Information Systems and Technology, School of Business and College of Criminal Justice at the University of Phoenix. His wealth of experience in delivering technology leadership and innovation spans a variety of industries including education, telecommunications, energy, and nuclear energy. He has worked for many top organizations, including Fortune 100s in the tech and healthcare industries.
Prior to joining the University of Phoenix, Mr. Bonilla served as senior vice president of Learning Solutions at GP Strategies Corporation (GPX), chief executive officer of Medsn/Indegene, and president and chief operations officer of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and Vice President of Oracle University. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he taught in Naval Nuclear Power School and served three patrols in engineering operations on the USS Casimir Pulaski, a nuclear submarine in the ballistic missile fleet, SUBLAN. After his tour of duty, he began his professional career as a training engineer at Westinghouse, teaching nuclear plant operations at multiple commercial power plants, both domestic and international.
