About Course
Most security awareness training teaches you not to click links. This course teaches what handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) actually asks of you: recognizing it, handling it day to day, spotting insider threats, and reporting problems fast.
You spend your first week at Odapeeka Precision Works, a fictional defense subcontractor, where CUI crosses every desk. Take the full course as the fourth Foundations rung, or take the path your company assigns you: All Staff, CUI Handler, Manager, or IT/Security.
Supports the security awareness-and-training requirements in NIST SP 800-171 (3.2.1–3.2.3). For people who run a company’s training program, it aligns with DoD 8140 work role 722, Information Systems Security Manager (task T0157).
Completion and certificate
Finish the full course and the graded capstone to earn your certificate with 6 CPE hours. Shorter role paths earn a certificate with the CPE hours for that path. Anyone can check it at cover6solutions.com/verify.

For teams: CUI awareness training by the seat
Your employees handle Controlled Unclassified Information. Assign them this course by role, add your company’s own CUI rules, and keep a completion record for every person.
- Four role paths. All Staff, CUI Handler, Manager and IT / Security. Everyone takes the core modules, then the lessons their job needs.
- Your rules, in the course. You fill in a one-page template with your CUI contacts, approved systems and limits. We load it as Module 5, and each learner reads and acknowledges it.
- Completion records for your training files. Name, path, completion date, scores, acknowledgment date and content version for each learner, in a roster report.
- Annual refresher included with each year’s seats.
