Antwan is currently enrolled in the Digital Forensics and Cyber Investigation Master’s Program at University of Maryland University College. At an early age Antwan found his passion for computers by playing Oregon Trail. Antwan received his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Science and it was later where he found his passion for Cybersecurity. Antwan had an amazing opportunity to do a cross-country adventure which aired on public television and focused on Cyber Security Professionals. Antwan had a chance to meet and interview some of the trailblazers and innovators in the field of cyber security and had a chance to learn from their experiences and struggles.
Antwan’s goal is to be one of the leading forces in Cyber security and one day leading his own cybercrime unit. As continues to perfect his craft, he’s on a mission to share his knowledge and educate kids who grew up with similar backgrounds as him. Antwan want’s everyone to know that he too overcame certain struggles, but never gave up.
Antwan has worked too hard to get here—holding down a full-time job during the day and loading UPS trucks at night just so he can finish his master’s in digital forensics and cyber investigation. “I refuse to give up,” he says. The memory of his grandfather, who never complained, keeps him going; hearing “no” motivates him, too. Antwan just learned to strive harder. Antwan found his passion for cybersecurity a little later than some; but now that he knows what he wants to do. Antwan wants to be an inspiration to others by showing them that it’s never too late to take that leap of faith and make your dreams happen.
